About Us
The Beaver County Reading Council, formerly known as the Leotta C. Hawthorne Reading Council, was established as a council of the International Reading Association in the late 1960’s. As an affiliate of both Keystone State Reading Association (KSRA) and the International Reading Association, our council upholds and values the promotion of literacy to all mankind. Because of our affiliation with the Keystone State Reading Association, you will receive a membership to the Beaver County Reading Council when you join the KSRA (you must indicate Beaver County on the membership form). While joining the KSRA does not provide you with a membership to the International Reading Association, all members are strongly encouraged to join. You may download a copy of each council's membership form by visiting the links below.
